Well we aren’t sure if you can just buy innercredits with money, but we are pretty confident that you can donate to help other people do stuff, which gives them innercredits and inspires others to get their innercredits, which in turn inspires others and so on. Which means maybe helping other people earn their own innercredits gives you innercredits and inspires others after all… okay so it appears maybe you actually can.

Of course it is not just about the money…

The best thing you can do for Innercredits is go get some of your own. Seriously the world is an amazingly awesome place, just hanging out waiting to offer you opportunities for adventures to be had and some good stuff to be done. Go inspire someone to make a difference, stop using plastic bags, make your neighbour laugh until they need to hold on to something. Do something cool big or small that makes something a bit better for someone or something else, get your own innercredits. That is the best way of supporting us.

Where does the money go?

We could try to tell you where money really comes from but we couldn’t really figure it out (though we did find this good podcast from This American Life). But we can tell you where the money goes when you donate.

Unless you ask us for something different, any money donated through this page is used for:

• Funding projects and materials on the ground in Indonesia.  In 2012 this will include the Water and Sanitation project and Plant and Power, or local materials for contributing to the marine monitoring and turtle recovery projects.
• Any additional funds will be used to help offset associated costs including insurance, visas and village contributions or put towards the 2012 programme.

If you contribute, we commit to reporting to you exactly what the donations were spent on. Even better than that we will post it here on the website.

Hold up what about hidden deductions and stuff?

Though we may joke around sometimes, we realise this is no matter for silliness. Therefore we have put our serious faces on right this minute – serious. None of the contributions donated via this page are going to be sucked up by any hidden fees. All admin and management is carried out free by committed people with grown up jobs. Nobody gets paid by Innercredits because getting paid is sorta not the point really when you think about it. Not for something as awesome as this.

I don’t have money but I sure have other stuff I would like to donate, what do I do?

You can contact us – if we can’t use it, we will try our best to help put you in touch with an organisation that can. Sending stuff you don’t want to overseas countries is not often the best idea, in fact sometimes it is a real bad idea, but there are probably heaps of organisations around where you live that work on finding solutions to local problems and they would probably love it.
